The Colegiul National "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" was visited during the project
“Mathematics Revisited” on Erasmus+ program
on June 3 - 7, 2019
During the meeting, the participants were acquainted with the specificity of the school.
They exchanged experiences in working on different activities. Teachers and students attended workshops like “Mathematics of the future“, “Express your feelings – History, Mathematics and Art“, “Happy science“ and “Mathematical tricks“. Teachers and students watched the theatrical performance “The Mathematical Sleep“, created by the Romanian students. The Romanian students also presented some poems covering the activity “Mathematics and literature”. An e-book, “Stories we tell“, was presented. Each country shared their stories. All participants took part in a treasure hunt – “The Danube Waterfront, a symbol of Galati” – and the Romanian team showed us how to use cultural heritage in the classroom. Each school presented the work they have done during the last year.
The interim report, which has to be done by the Austrian coordinator, was discussed.
The meeting also served to establish the plan for the second year, the project budget, its control and the next meetings during the second year of the project realisation.
